Little Paris Kitchen Cook Book

My Copy of the Little Paris Kitchen cook book has just arrived and believe me it's every bit as good as the Programme itself! There are so many things that are in the book that are not in the programme currently showing on BBC One on Monday nights! I am almost certain that Rachel Khoo will have to make another series just to keep us satisfied. Taken from what I have read in the book so far this is one "Smallest Restaurant in Paris" that I would love to eat at!

A solution to the south's water woes? Hosepipe bans affecting about 20 million customers have been introduced by seven water authorities in parts of southern and eastern England. Unseasonably dry winters have contributed to the current situation, but with climate change a concern, water companies must look for new ways to ensure adequate supplies. One option is desalination, a process by which saltwater from the sea or other sources is cleaned to produce drinkable water.
Britain's first large-scale desalination plant is operated by Thames Water and can provide up to 150 million litres of water each day.

Just happened to stumble across a BBC News article about Madonna being at the top of the charts "again" this morning!!! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-17577697 Halfway down the page it says that a début album by the New York Tenor singer Noah Stewart had entered in at number fourteen! Never heard of him! so like anyone I Google searched him and clicked on his website address:- http://www.noahofficial.com/ what a voice - like, what a voice - like mmmmmmmmmm - like honey - like so good looking - ahhhhhh!!! Going off to buy the album now. I'll let you know what I think!!!

Little Paris Kitchen BBC

The Little Paris Kitchen with Rachel Khoo started last week on BBC Two at 20:30 for 6 x 30 episodes.

From her tiny Paris apartment she cooks up her takes on Classic French food that include her take on the Croque Madame which consists of white bread flattened and shaped into deep muffin tins. She then adds ham, a whole small egg and béchamel sauce and tops it off with Gruyère  cheese. This is the placed in an oven at 180c for 15 minutes or 20 if you don't like your egg runny.

needless to say I will be trying this one!!

Rachel then moves on to making Navarin D’agneau Printanier (Spring Lamb Stew), French style Mint Sauce, Coq au vin barbecue sticks, Madeleines a la creme Citron.

I like this programme so far Rachel Khoo looks every part the Parisian and even speaks the Language well. She takes us on a whistle stop tour of some of the best parts of Paris and some not. Makes me want to go back very soon!!!
